Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Lending Servicing team in Arlington, VA. You will build full-stack systems powering lending products from origination to servicing and repayment, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality software, using TypeScript/React and backend languages, across AWS/GCP/Azure cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and operating systems end-to-end.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/React and a backend language (Node.js/Java/Kotlin/Go/Python).
• Experience with distributed, large-scale systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Bonus: FinTech, lending, or payments experience.

Responsibilities

• Build for scale with full-stack solutions using React, GraphQL, Java/Kotlin.
• Design next-generation Lending offerings with data-driven focus.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality software.
