Job summary

Remitly, Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Lending Servicing team. You will build full-stack systems powering borrowing products from origination to servicing and repayment.

You will join the Arlington hub and collaborate with teams in Seattle and Vancouver. You will design scalable solutions using React, GraphQL, and backend languages like Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with experience building and operating systems end-to-end.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/React (or similar) plus a backend language (Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python).
• Experience with distributed, large-scale systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Build for scale: Design and implement solutions for complex problems using full stack technologies that operate at scale.
• Design: Participate in technical design and grooming for the next generation of Lending with a data-driven approach.
• Craft with pride: Focus on overall product quality and build.
• Collaborate: Work with product managers, data scientists and other engineers to translate requirements into scalable software solutions.
