Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic equipment such as hand-held scanners and dock carts.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from unload/load doors and through the yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handle and sort packages as needed, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying.
