Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc. is seeking a full-time XRT to deliver diagnostic imaging services and support physicians, nurses, and staff in patient care. This role blends radiologic work with medical assistant duties, patient prep, phlebotomy, and ensuring a safe workflow.

You will interact with diverse patients, document procedures in EMR, maintain rooms and equipment, and help optimize patient flow while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent education as required by state regulations.
• Current state licensure or certification as an X-ray Technologist (XRT) or Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Medical Assistant skills and experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Knowledge of X-ray equipment operation, imaging techniques, and radiation safety principles.
• Familiarity with EMR and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and physician orders.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare patients by verifying identity, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Position patients and operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Apply radiation safety principles and follow guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Assist providers and nurses with basic clinical tasks, including obtaining vital signs.
• Document procedures and patient information in EMR or relevant systems.
• Maintain imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, ready-for-use condition.
• Support patient flow by coordinating with front office and staff to reduce wait times.
• Follow infection control and privacy standards per regulations.
• Participate in department meetings and continuing education to stay current.
