Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant for a full-time on-site role in Westminster, CO. The candidate will prepare patients for diagnostic imaging, ensure radiation safety, and assist with MA duties to streamline patient flow.

Requirements include an Associate's degree or equivalent, 3+ years in healthcare leadership, CRT, CPR-BLS, and ARRT or equivalent credentialing. DOT certification reimbursement is provided where required.

Qualifications

  • Requires ARRT registration or equivalent radiologic technology credentialing body.
  • Professional CRT certificate including licensure as required.
  • Current CPR-BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in healthcare leadership roles.
  • Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
  • Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Prepare images for Radiologist review and collaboration with the imaging team.
  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties to optimize patient flow.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings and contribute to process improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
  • Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
  • Current CRT certificate
  • Current CPR- BLS
  • Licensure/Certifications:Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency
