Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (XRT) to perform diagnostic imaging with mobile/portable X-ray equipment. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff. Weekend availability with some weekday/holiday flexibility is required.

The position requires ARRT registration and Texas RT license, plus CPR/BLS certification, enabling independent imaging procedures and support across clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Current CPR/BLS Certificate.
• Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and active Texas Medical Board RT license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging using a mobile/portable X-ray machine.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
• Assist with front desk duties to ensure optimal patient flow.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings.
• DOT certification will be reimbursed where required for practice.

Job description

The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) position is primarily responsible for independently performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You'll help patients through the imaging process and work cross-functionally to support your team with other tasks that expand your knowledge and experience to keep our clinic running smoothly. We are looking for someone with a primary availability of weekends, and some additional flexibility for weekdays and holidays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging using a mobile/portable x-ray machine; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
• Assist with Medical Assistants and perform front desk duties to ensure optimal patient flow
• Attend staff and departmental meetings
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
• Propose improvements to processes and workflows
• Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.

ABOUT YOU

• Has relevant expertise, typically developed through job-related training and work experience
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Current CPR/BLS Certificate
• Licensure/Certifications:Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Active Texas Medical Board - RT (R) license
