Job summary

Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a full-time Wet Chemistry Laboratory Analyst to support the Jersey Shore Lab in Waretown, NJ.

The analyst will perform analytical testing on environmental samples using approved methods and SOPs, reporting results to the supervisor and ensuring timely turnaround. Responsibilities include maintaining sample logs, ensuring supplies and logs are up-to-date, calibrating instruments, and performing analyses with adherence to QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in science preferred but not required.
• Laboratory experience in Wet Chemistry techniques desired.
• Garden State Laboratories provides training to all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs of all samples received in the lab for assigned parameters for analysis.
• Ensure supplies required for tests are in stock and current.
• Maintain and update all logbooks associated with analytical procedures.
• Check samples are in proper containers for analyses and properly preserved.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated and in good working order.
• Prepare and perform sample analysis using SOPs within holding times.
• Submit analytical results to Supervisor for review to meet client TATs.
• Perform routine maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Conform to QA/QC practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per guidelines.
• Notify management of conditions affecting analysis.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
