Job summary

ALS is seeking a detail-oriented analyst to prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies. You will work with instrumental and wet chemistry techniques, document results, and troubleshoot instrumentation in a collaborative team.

The role requires a chemistry-related degree, 2–5 years in an environmental lab, and strong Excel/Word skills. On-site position in Middletown Township, PA with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or science related field.
2-5 years’ experience in an Environmental Testing Laboratory preferred.
Experience with analytical instrumentation (Ion Chromatograph, Discrete Analyzer, Auto-Titrator, TOC or Lachat Autoanalyzer) is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies and for instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques.
Follow methodologies and SOPs; document activities and report results concisely and accurately.
Operate analytical instrumentation and interpret sample data; perform maintenance and troubleshooting.
