Job summary

St. John's Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our fast-paced small animal and exotics practice. You will be the first point of contact for clients, schedule appointments, handle payments, and keep patient records organized.

Ideal candidates are organized, friendly, and enjoy teamwork. Veterinary experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person; Avimark experience is a plus. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays, 4–5 hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable with computers; Avimark experience a plus.
• Veterinary experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Be the welcoming face and voice of the hospital.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Provide outstanding client service in person and over the phone.
• Process payments and manage daily transactions.
• Keep records organized.
• Assist with patient flow and occasional hands-on care.
• Support communication between clients and medical staff.
• Help maintain a clean, professional environment.
