Job summary

Bank of 1889 is seeking a full-time Teller to provide exceptional service, handle transactions accurately, and operate with integrity in a fast-paced branch. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory awareness, and friendly customer interaction.

You will balance the teller window daily, process proof as needed, and assist customers with cashier's checks, money orders, and other banking services while staying compliant with bank policies and security procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred.
• Must maintain professional appearance and attitude.
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and follow policies.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work Saturdays and open/close drive-thru.

Responsibilities

• Handle teller transactions in a timely and accurate manner following bank policies.
• Operate teller equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain teller window in a neat and organized manner.
• Balance the teller window daily and report differences as needed.
• Process proof in an accurate and efficient manner at the branch level.
• Count, package and control money according to bank procedures.
• Assist with sales of cashier's checks, money orders, etc.
• Adhere to bank security procedures and report suspicious activity.
• Understand regulatory requirements related to teller duties (Reg CC, BSA, CRA).
• Explain bank services to customers to build confidence in information provided.
• Assist customers with problem resolution in a courteous and timely manner.
• Able to open/close the drive-thru and work Saturdays.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
