Job summary

ALDI USA in Illinois is hiring a Store Associate to support merchandising, stocking, cashier duties, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by working with the ALDI team and delivering exceptional service.

Position Type: Full-Time with about 30+ hours per week. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with annual increases through Year 5 up to $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prompt and courteous customer service required.
• Ability to operate POS and store equipment.
• Follow ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers; escalate concerns to store management as needed.
• Notify management of loss due to damaged or outdated products.
• Use POS accurately and address scanning issues or errors.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays per merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and ensure timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving operational efficiency and reducing loss.
• Support a safe working environment by addressing hazards and maintaining equipment.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
