Job Description: Store Associate

As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store presentable. You'll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning, stock shelves, and merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Report product feedback, inventory issues, and errors to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies to reduce losses.
• Adhere to company policies, ensuring security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and place products on shelves at various heights.
• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk within the store.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service.
• Operate cash registers accurately.
• Safely operate equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
• Perform cleaning to company standards.
• Interpret and apply policies effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized, attentive to detail, able to multi-task.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol, if applicable.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience.
