Job Description: Store Associate

As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising and stocking product, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You'll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves, and merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team and management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and store issues
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Uphold company policies, security, and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand, sit, and walk regularly within the store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Provide courteous customer service and operate cash register accurately
• Safely operate equipment such as hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
• Perform cleaning to company standards
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Follow instructions, stay organized, and multitask effectively
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol if applicable

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred but not required; relevant education and experience may be combined
