The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide inclusive, individualized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in Illinois. You will adapt curricula to meet IEP goals and collaborate with parents, therapists, and paraeducators to ensure student success.

Responsibilities include developing tailored lesson plans, using assistive technologies, and documenting progress to inform instruction.

Qualifications

• ESL or bilingual preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of professional responsibilities.
• Other qualifications deemed necessary by the Board of Education (i.e., certifications/areas of concentration)

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet diverse academic, communication, sensory, and social-emotional needs.
• Utilize various teaching strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate learning of core academics and life skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and review IEPs and progress.
• Monitor and document student progress using assessment data to adjust instruction and achieve IEP goals.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians on student progress and strategies for home support.
