Job summary

Home Instead is seeking compassionate caregivers to support local seniors in Santa Barbara County with in-home care. You will provide companionship, help with daily activities, and ensure safety and comfort in the client’s home.

Training is provided, and schedules can be full-time, part-time, weekends, or overnight. Earn $20.00–$23.00 per hour plus benefits as you join our caring team.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of caregiving experience (agency or private).
• Must have reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Ability to treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care services (assistance with daily activities, grooming, bathing, mobility support).
• Offer companionship and conversation to clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication and appointment reminders as needed.
• Transport clients or accompany them on errands or outings.

Sick Time

In accordance with California’s Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act, all employees are eligible for paid sick leave. Employees accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, starting from their first day of employment. Unused sick leave carries over year-to-year, capped at a maximum of 80 hours (10 days).
