Job summary

Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC, is seeking a full-time Cook to join our Senior Living Life Plan Community. You will prepare cold and hot meals per production sheets and assist the Sous Chef or Chef in producing meals for the Nursing Center, following standardized recipes.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; culinary education and experience are a plus. Candidate should be able to read instructions, operate kitchen equipment safely, and communicate effectively with staff

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or other training or better is preferred.
• Culinary education and experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cold and hot meals per production sheet.
• Assists Sous Chef or Chef in cold production for Nursing Center meals.
• Follows standardized recipes and maintains portion control.
• Maintains sanitation and safety per ServSafe standards.
• Ensures proper storage and labeling of prepared items.
