Job summary

Westminster at Lake Ridge is seeking a full-time Cook for our senior living community in Lake Ridge, VA. You will prepare hot and cold meals using production sheets and recipes, and assist the Chef and Sous Chef as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and proficiency with kitchen equipment. We offer valuable benefits and growth opportunities in a CARF/Sage-certified community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with kitchen machinery and basic cooking utensils.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold meals according to production sheets and recipes.
• Assist Sous Chef or Chef in cold production for Nursing Center meals.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain portion control.
• Ensure all meals meet health regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in prep and cooking areas.
• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification and logs.
