Job summary

Carespring is seeking an Activity Assistant to deliver and facilitate activities for residents at our skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on promoting the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families, and staff.

The position involves coordinating activities, conducting sessions, attending outings, and supporting meals and events, with a strong emphasis on compassionate resident care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to become State Tested Nurse Aide to participate actively in activity delivery.
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others.
• Desire to work with elderly and interact with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities to promote residents' wellbeing.
• Contribute to activity calendar and tailor activities to resident needs.
• Conduct all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attend outings and operate bus equipment as needed.
• Attend team meetings and assist with resident meals.
• Support theme weeks and special events.
• Document activity participation attendance for all groups/activities.
• Assist with customer service surveys and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
