Job summary

Great Lakes Mgmt Co in Bloomington, MN is looking for an Activities Assistant to help the Director of Resident Services plan and lead a variety of programs for residents. You will assist with event promotion, calendar planning, and hands-on activity delivery for seniors, including small and large groups.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of activities experience with seniors, a valid driver's license, and comfort with Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of activities experience with seniors.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to use Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and group leadership skills.
• Able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion and leading events.
• Assess residents' social needs and help develop monthly activity calendars.
• Lead small, large and one-on-one activity programs with seniors.
• Coordinate transportation to outside events in line with policy.
• Work with volunteers to support resident programming and report maintenance needs.
