Qualifications

• 1 year activities experience in retirement/long-term care environments.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Currently possess a Class C license, or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to use basic Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
• Group leadership and interpersonal skills for various group sizes.
• Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and leading events or programs.
• Assess residents' recreational and social needs.
• Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead activities for small, large, and one-on-one sessions with seniors.
• Research and recommend speakers or church representatives for programs.
• Coordinate transportation for events and accompany residents on field trips.
• Coordinate with volunteers and assign tasks to support resident programming.
• Maintain the STSW bus interior and exterior.
• Report maintenance needs promptly.
