Job summary

Universal Storage Group is seeking a UC Storage Manager for a fast-paced self-storage facility in Union City, GA. You will lead daily operations, assist customers with unit selection, process rentals, and manage documentation and payments with accuracy.

The role includes a four-phase training program with USG Certified Trainers on sales, operations, and marketing techniques to deliver client solutions. Training is ongoing, with annual company meetings and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Background check completed successfully.
• Drug screening completed prior to employment.
• Attitude and aptitude testing as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the facility with a smile and a handshake.
• Help customers determine the best unit size before each rental.
• Complete all rental paperwork accurately.
• Perform scheduled facility walk-throughs and lock checks.
• Post payments received the day of receipt.
• Track and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Maintain customer records, payments and notes.
• Make daily bank deposits and post receipts as instructed.
• Conduct monthly marketing activities (calls, visits, emails, social posts, events).
• Keep merchandise stocked and units clean and rentable.
• Ensure grounds, office, and bathrooms are clean and presentable at all times.
• Prepare auction units per procedure and lien laws.

The chosen UC Storage Manager will be given a four-phase training program with one of our USG Certified Trainers on sales, operations, auction process, and our use of world-class marketing techniques to deliver Solutions to our clients. Employees also receive ongoing training throughout the year and annually at our Company Meeting.

Self-Storage is a fast-paced environment. Our employees wear many hats: salesperson, customer service rep, cleaning crew, marketer, accounting clerk, cashier, and more! As a USG Manager you will be responsible for:

• Greeting everyone at your facility with a smile and a handshake
• Helping your customers determine the best size unit before each rental
• Completing all paperwork correctly for each rental
• Completing scheduled facility Walk Thru and Lock checks
• Posting all payments made the day of receipt
• Tracking and following up on past due accounts
• Record keeping of all customer records; including but not limited to, payments and notes
• Making DAILY bank deposits and posting receipts as instructed
• Monthly Marketing such as Calls, Visits, Emails, Social Media Postings, and Events
• Maintaining merchandise for customer purchase
• Cleaning vacant units to rentable condition.
• Ensuring grounds, office, and bathrooms are clean and presentable at all times
• Preparing auction units according to procedure and lien laws as needed

Our stores are retail and open Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00am - 6:00pm. This position is available as part with possible full time. USG offers competitive pay plus benefits and bonus potential, based on your expertise.
