Job summary

Mechanicsburg Area School District in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter effective immediately to support deaf and hard of hearing students within the educational setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have EIPA score at least 3.5 (70%) at mode and level per student’s communication plan and IEP.
• Or be registered with the Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpretation and/or transliteration in educational settings.
• Serve as a member of the IEP Team for deaf and hard of hearing students.
• Facilitate communication between students, staff and families to ensure accessibility.
