Job summary

ConnectedHealth seeks a Sign Language Interpreter for an 8-week assignment in or near Dover, Pennsylvania. You will provide real-time interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during school hours, working within a team to ensure equal access to educational content.

Responsibilities include interpreting for students, facilitating classroom communication, maintaining confidentiality, collaborating with educators, and documenting concerns related to interpretation services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Sign Language Interpretation.
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
• PA license valid.
• Minimum 1 year interpreting experience with students.
• Valid driver's license.
• Background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpretation services to students during school hours.
• Facilitate communication between students and staff to ensure equal access to educational content.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and interpreting standards.
