Job summary

Birch Agency in Lansing, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated school-based team for the upcoming year. This is a full-time (35 hours/week), in-person role serving students with diverse motor, sensory, and functional needs.

You will collaborate with another OT on site, work closely with teachers and families, and contribute to IEP goals, assessments, and treatment plans designed to support student independence and participation in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Michigan OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and goal development
• Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students
• Support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care and functional school skills
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals and progress monitoring
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records

Education

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
