Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students district-wide, predominantly at the elementary level, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to help students develop the skills needed to succeed in the classroom and school environment while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide support throughout the district, predominantly at the elementary level, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to help students develop the skills needed to succeed in the classroom and school environment while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students throughout the district, primarily serving elementary-aged students.


• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' functional and educational needs.


• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.


• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.


• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district and state requirements.


• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation skills.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license.


• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.


• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.


• Ability to work effectively with students with diverse educational and developmental needs.
