Job summary

TheraPeds Partners seeks a full-time American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) for a school-based role in Pulaski, Tennessee, for the 2026-2027 school year. The interpreter will provide ASL-English interpretation to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students throughout the school day, collaborating with teachers and related-service staff.

Competitive hourly compensation is offered. The role requires fluent ASL and English, EIPA 3.5+ or Tennessee equivalent, and familiarity with IDEA/IEP processes.

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and English with strong receptive/expressive skills.
• EIPA score 3.5+ or Tennessee-equivalent requirements.
• RID certification preferred; ITP or ASL-English program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL-English interpretation during classroom instruction and activities.
• Interpret spoken English to ASL and vice versa while preserving meaning and tone.
• Collaborate with teachers, Deaf/Hard of Hearing staff, and education teams.
• Support access to academic instruction across school environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
