Job summary

The Arc of Palm Beach County is seeking a dependable Retail & Delivery Specialist. This hands-on role blends retail operations, donation pickup services, customer support, merchandising, and delivery responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely drive a 26-foot box truck.
• Experience with donation pickups, deliveries, moving, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
• Two years of retail, warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience operating a POS/cash register.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to pass required background screenings and maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for scheduled donation pickups and deliveries.
• Conduct donation pickups from residences and businesses, serving as a professional representative of The Arc.
• Load, unload, and transport donated furniture, household goods, appliances, and merchandise.
• Receive, sort, stock, and organize donations.
• Create and maintain merchandise displays.
• Test donated appliances and electronics before sale.
• Schedule and coordinate donation pickups and deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers, donors, volunteers, and pickup customers.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
