Job summary

The Industrialist, a historic hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, is seeking a Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will provide attentive service to guests in a dynamic, urban dining environment and help create memorable experiences for both hotel guests and visitors.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and inputting orders into the POS, delivering meals, handling payments, and maintaining table cleanliness while adhering to food safety and alcohol

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
