Job summary

The Industrialist Pittsburgh, a premier Autograph Collection Hotel, seeks a Restaurant Server to provide warm, efficient service in a dynamic, urban dining setting. You will take orders, present menus, and ensure guests enjoy an exceptional experience from seating to checkout.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, prior hospitality experience, and are comfortable with POS systems and cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Knowledge of menu items, allergens, and beverages.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, with proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
