Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Banquet Server to ensure outstanding guest service during events. You will set up rooms, assist with service, and present food and beverages promptly.

Responsibilities include preparing breakfast/lunch/dinner service areas, supervising dining room setup, training new staff, and maintaining clean banquet spaces while coordinating with F&B leadership to meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English for team communication.
• Alcohol Awareness Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and tables for meals and ensure proper setup.
• Assist banquet leadership with event preparation.
• Serve meals at events and keep service areas presentable.
• Oversee dining room service and banquet setup.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Train new employees in service and guest relations.
• Maintain banquet rooms clean and restock supplies.
• Coordinate with kitchen, sales and housekeeping as needed.
