Job summary

The Industrialist in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Restaurant Server to provide warm, efficient, and knowledgeable service to guests. You will take and input orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure a memorable dining experience while upholding brand standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospitality or server experience, familiarity with POS systems and cash handling, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Knowledge of menu items, allergens, beverage options, and dietary considerations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
