Aura Health in Texas is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care, including ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, and oxygen therapy.
The role requires completion of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current RCP license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS with NRP and PALS within a year. Interpreting data and applying patient-centered care across ages are essential.
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care, including ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.
Perform respiratory treatments, interpret diagnostic procedures, evaluate patient needs, operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment, and ensure safety and infection control. Must demonstrate critical thinking, interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data, and adapt care to patients of all ages, respecting diverse needs. Additionally, maintain equipment and contribute to quality assurance.
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, licensed and registered as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, current BLS and ACLS certifications, with NRP and PALS certification within a year. At least 6 months of respiratory care experience is required.
Administer and wean oxygen, aerosol therapies, and mechanical ventilation; perform diagnostic tests; assess and plan patient care; operate cardiopulmonary equipment; participate in infection control and safety protocols; and perform additional duties as needed.
