Job summary

Proforma Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide a broad range of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory services across adult and neonatal patients. The ideal candidate holds an accredited Respiratory Care Program credential, NBRC registration, and current BLS/ACLS with NRP/PALS upcoming within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS within one year of hire.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing and registered by the NBRC.
• Minimum of six months of respiratory care experience.
• Strong critical thinking, equipment troubleshooting, and patient assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosol, humidity, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and electrocardiograms.
• Conduct physical assessments, review patient records, and interpret data like CXR, ABG, and PFT results.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment, ensuring safety and infection control.
• Participate in quality assurance, safety protocols, and patient satisfaction efforts.
