Job description

Role:

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and airway maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Conducts respiratory assessments, interprets patient data (CXR, ABG, PFT), manages cardiopulmonary equipment, and ensures safety and infection control. Performs procedures including oxygen administration, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation, while maintaining equipment and work areas.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS and ACLS certifications, Texas licensure, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of experience. Must demonstrate critical thinking, patient sensitivity, and effective communication.

Key Duties:

Execute respiratory therapies, interpret diagnostic results, troubleshoot equipment, participate in quality assurance, and provide patient-centered care under indirect supervision.
