Job summary

UCS Healthcare in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our medication unit. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a robust benefits package. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7 AM–3 PM.

We value people-first care and provide opportunities for advancement within a non-profit setting. An Iowa RN license and CPR certification are required; LPNs should apply to the LPN posting.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Iowa RN license; CPR certification.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients.
• Perform nursing assessments and H&Ps on new admissions or readmissions.
• Review prescriptions and OTC medications for safety and awareness of adverse reactions.
• Perform TB tests, venipuncture, and injections as ordered by physician.
• Document patient status clearly and communicate with the team.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to policies and procedures.
