Mount St. Mary's University is launching a Blue Peak Center for ABA in Emmitsburg, MD. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide direct therapy under BCBA supervision, delivering structured teaching, collecting data, and contributing to treatment decisions for children with autism.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma and be at least 18-years-old.
• Experience working with children.
• Experience with individuals with development disabilities and/or behavior challenges preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from Emmitsburg center.
• Pass a criminal background check from state and federal registries.
• Active RBT certification preferred or ability to obtain RBT certification within 45-60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain RBT certification.
• Implement written treatment plans as developed by the BCBA.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Work in 1:1 or small group settings with clients.
• Collect data related to client goals to inform treatment decisions.
• Submit regular written reports of client progress.
• Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and stakeholders effectively and professionally.
