Job summary

Mount St. Mary’s University is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct therapy under BCBA supervision at the Blue Peak Center for ABA in Emmitsburg, MD.

The role is full-time with a structured schedule and a strong emphasis on training, mentorship, and clinician wellbeing. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, data collection, and collaboration with the BCBA and team to tailor services for children with autism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, minimum 18 years old.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Experience with individuals with development disabilities/behavior challenges preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to Emmitsburg center.
• Criminal background check required (state and federal).
• Active RBT certification preferred or able to obtain within 45–60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain RBT certification.
• Implement written treatment plans as developed by the BCBA.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Work in 1:1 or small group settings with clients.
• Collect data related to client goals to inform treatment decisions.
• Submit regular written reports of client progress.
• Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and stakeholders effectively and professionally.
