Nicklaus Children's in Florida Miami-Palmetto Bay is hiring a Radiology Tech to operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to ALARA and safety policies. The technician will assist with patient preparation, room setup, and timely communication with supervising staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida radiography license, ARRT registration, and CPR/BLS certification, with CPI training to be completed within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Florida General X-ray license required and active throughout employment.
• BLS certification active throughout employment.
• CPI certification within 180 days of hire or transfer; maintain active throughout employment.
• ARRT registration current as radiologic technologist.

Responsabilités

• Operate portable and stationary radiography equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to ALARA and radiation safety policies.
• Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and medications as needed for examinations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Identify patients and document procedures accurately in PACS.
