Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the West Kendall UCC, per diem days. The ideal candidate will operate radiographic equipment, prepare rooms, and ensure patient safety while following ALARA policies and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image quality, PACS transmission, and collaboration with physicians and staff. Florida license, BLS, CPI within 180 days, and ARRT registration are required.

Qualifications

• Florida x-ray license active and in good standing
• American Heart Association BLS active
• CPI certification within 180 days of hire or transfer
• ARRT registration as Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment and prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Adjust equipment, determine proper technique and position patients.
• Communicate with hospital staff, physicians, and patients.
• Enter patient information into PACS after examinations.
• Follow radiation safety practices and ALARA policies at all times.
• Provide supervision and CPI-related support for behavioral health patients.
