Job summary

Prima CARE PC in Georgia is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The selected candidate must graduate from an accredited PTA program, have taken the NPTE or be eligible to take it, and hold or be eligible for a Georgia state license.

Responsibilities include assessing residents' physical therapy needs, delivering services under supervision, and maintaining progress records while staying current with professional literature and ongoing licensure

Qualifications

• Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.
• Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents, staff and family members under the supervision of the Physical Therapist so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available.
• Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills and licensure.
