Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Waldorf, Maryland is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join a collaborative rehabilitation team at a 115-bed skilled nursing facility. This full-time position offers hands-on patient care supporting both long-term and short-term rehabilitation goals.

You will work with PTs and an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized treatment, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, and a weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed or eligible for Maryland licensure.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities based on patient goals
• Assist patients with gait, mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional training
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and continued progress
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with PTs, nursing staff, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care
