Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in Springfield, Missouri. Work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain mobility, improve function, and achieve rehab goals in a patient-centered environment.

You will perform PT procedures, document progress, monitor responses, and ensure safety and dignity for every patient across the lifespan, collaborating with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice, or state-authorized temporary permit/license where applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing treatment plans and performing therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, aides, families and other clinicians.
• Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort during procedures.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
