Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will support licensed Physical Therapists, help patients regain mobility, improve function, and work in a patient-centered environment focused on safety and dignity.

In this full-time role in Springfield, Missouri, you will implement treatment plans, document progress, monitor pain, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to achieve positive outcomes for patients

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice or eligible temporary permit.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising PT.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training and mobility activities.
• Administer modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Assist with wound care while maintaining sterile technique.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely.
• Monitor pain management needs and report changes promptly.
