The Chimes School is hosting a hiring event for Program Assistant opportunities in Baltimore, MD. Join us for a group interview, learn about supporting students with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs, and interview for the role.

Location: Baltimore, MD; Date: Oct 15, 2026; Time: 3:00 PM–4:00 PM; Compensation: $17.51/hour. An application is required to attend, and you may bring a guest to RSVP.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, 45 college credits, or ParaPro certification.
• Experience in special education, behavioral health, ABA, human services, or with individuals with disabilities.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in childcare, education, coaching, camps, or youth programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a part of a team.
• Commitment to helping students achieve their goals.
• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience working with children, youth, or young adults.

Responsabilités

• Support students one-on-one and in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), sensory supports, and medical protocols.
• Use positive behavior support strategies and approved intervention techniques when needed.
• Support students with daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Collect student data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with vocational, community-based, and classroom learning activities.
• Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, families, and support staff to help students reach their goals.
