Job summary

The Early Learning Center at the Bernon Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team! We are currently hiring a full-time Teacher Assistant to support our Preschool/Pre-K classrooms.

This is a year-round, Monday-Friday, 40-hour-per-week position. Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM for a 9-hour shift, which includes a 1-hour unpaid break. Shifts rotate and may change each week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is required.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and guidance to children in their care.
• Follows all health policies, YMCA policies, and EEC regulations.
• Actively participates in at least two YMCA family events and all childcare family events.
• Promptly communicates any concerns to a Teacher or Lead Teacher.
• Assists in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Attends and completes professional development as required by EEC.
