The Westfield Area YMCA is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to join our team. You will work with the Head Teacher to implement planned activities and curriculum promoting youth development and healthy living.

The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and has experience with children aged 2.5 years to kindergarten. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, preparing lesson materials, supervising children, and creating a warm, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• CDA or AA Degree in a related field, or HS degree with 1 year of child-care experience
• Strong communication skills required
• Creativity, initiative and flexibility are essential
