Job summary

Eagle Crest Rapid Recovery in Houston, TX, is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehab program. The PTA will provide screening, evaluation, and skilled treatments to geriatric and post-acute patients, while collaborating with an in-house therapy team to ensure high-quality care.

Typical duties include wound care, modalities, ambulation, and discharge planning, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• PTA license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and wound care as part of the rehabilitation plan.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries ensuring regulatory and clinical compliance.
• Maintain safety with patient handling and equipment, including assisting with lifting as needed.
