Job summary

Champions Healthcare in Houston, TX is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and develop care plans compliant with regulatory standards. Provide rehabilitative interventions, wound care, therapeutic exercises, and patient/family education.

The role requires standing and walking most days with occasional lifting and transfers. Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• PTA license required.
• New grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with standing, walking, transfers, and wound care as part of the rehabilitation plan.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients and families regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries and ensure regulatory compliance.
