Job summary

Evergreen Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision at our Buffalo location. The role involves counting, labeling, data entry, and patient interactions in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and familiarity with MS Office. Two years of retail pharmacy tech experience are preferred; relocation to new Buffalo pharmacies may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of retail Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
• Familiarity with computers and MS Office (Outlook, Word).
• Ability to multitask; excellent customer service skills.
• Awareness of health disparities affecting underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves medication from shelf, counts medication, and labels container under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Enters medication information and directions on patient profile into computerized database.
• Receives written prescriptions or electronic prescriptions and verifies information.
• Answers telephone and handles prescription refill requests from patients.
• Performs cashier functions for payments from patients.
• Hands out prepared prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist.
