Job summary
Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support evening operations. Under supervision, you will assist with preparation, compounding and dispensing of pharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NYS regulations.
The role requires NYS Pharmacy Technician registration, certification, and high school diploma, plus strong communication and data-entry skills for hospital information systems and dispensing equipment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification from NYS recognized certifying bodies such as PTCB or NHA.
- New York State Registered Pharmacy Technician with active registration and certification.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician must also be licensed in New York State.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
- Operate pharmacy automation and hospital information systems.
- Generate reports and labels for dispensing workflows.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals regarding pharmacy services.
